This is 'The Witch's House' at the Glenpark Estate's Halloween Experience. This installation was across two themed rooms, a Spell Room and a Witch's Kitchen. The Spell Room had a potions table and a 'Jars of Spirits' game and the Witch's Kitchen had a story projection and an early version of the animatronic owl.
The game was designed to be fun for all ages, from little tots to grandparents. The aim of the game was to try and free the trapped spirits from the jars.
The 'spirits' communicated with the players to help break the spell and release them. This communication was in the form of a colour that would unify and spread across the shelves of jars. When the players saw the colour signal they pressed the corresponding crystal. This cycle repeated, with the colours spreading faster, until the players finally released the spirits and a there was a projection of lights flying out of the jars and away around the room. This proved to be a fun game for all ages, and players came back to play it again and again.
